Carole, left, and Paul Johnson of Bath apply wood glue to the lower edge of their new boat at Maine Maritime Museum's (MMM) boatbuilding workshop in Bath on Saturday afternoon. "My plan is that when my grandchildren come by that this will be their boat," said Carole of her first boat. .Kurt Spiridakis, Boat Shop Manager oversaw the MMM's first ever boat building workshop this weekend by helping the Johnsons and a family from Gorham build two flat bottomed Bevin Skiffs. The design comes from Joe Youcha, associated with the Alexandria Seaport Foundation in Virginia and the final products, launched Sunday afternoon, weighs about 90 lbs., fully rigged.
